Job Description
Role Summary
The Investment Strategist is a front-line wealth management specialist who partners closely with Relationship Managers (RMs) to deliver investment advisory and portfolio management solutions for clients. Assigned to specific centers, the role serves as the investment expert, translating market and economic insights into actionable investment recommendations that help clients achieve their financial goals while supporting investment sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and communicate investment strategies and market views based on economic, market, and geopolitical developments.
- Translate the Bank's house view into practical investment recommendations tailored to client needs, objectives, and risk profiles.
- Partner with Relationship Managers to identify opportunities, recommend suitable investment solutions, and achieve investment sales targets.
- Participate in client meetings, portfolio reviews, and sales calls to provide expert investment advice and strengthen client relationships.
- Monitor financial markets and provide timely updates, insights, and investment opportunities to Relationship Managers and clients.
- Support portfolio construction, asset allocation, and wealth management strategies for affluent and high-net-worth clients.
- Provide product input and recommendations for new investment offerings based on market conditions and client demand.
- Support investment-related initiatives, process improvements, and wealth management projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in Wealth Management, Investment Advisory, Portfolio Management, Corporate Finance, Capital Markets, Investment Research, or Economics.
- Preferably with 2+ years of current and solid Investment Strategist experience.
- Experience supporting affluent, high-net-worth, or private banking clients is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of investment products, portfolio management, financial markets, and asset allocation.
Preferred Certifications
- Certified UITF Salesperson (CUSP)
- Fixed Income Market Salesman Certification
- Certified Investment Solicitor (CIS)
