Job Description

Job Accountabilities

  1. Primary point person in the management of all PLUK in-house funds and acts as the primary relationship manager of the different fund managers.
  2. Daily monitoring of SAA and TAA of all mandates with fund managers.
  3. Responsible for ensuring that all investment activities are compliant with Prudential standards that are set out for investment management.
  4. Mainly responsible for the development, launch, and registration of all new funds, and for providing investment inputs in the different product, investment, and asset and liabilities committees, etc.
  5. Assists in the operational/investment due diligence of local and international fund managers.
  6. Responsible for the in-depth review and investment management manager performance and compliance, including proposing any corrective actions in instances of investment manager underperformance.
  7. Responsible for compliance with the regulator guidelines on the set-up of derivatives, foreign-denominated investments, and other non-plain vanilla investment products.
  8. Assists the Investments Team in providing inputs for the different product, investment, and asset and liabilities committees, etc.
  9. Act as relationship manager of the different fund managers.
  10. Provide regular requirements of Finance in terms of investment market rates, currency quotations, and items that are related to funding operational cash requirements.
  11. In charge of the preparation of the annual SAA review to ensure that mandates are aligned with company strategy.
  12. Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically by supervisor in order to meet operational and/or other requirements.

Requirements

  • Must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree (with preference to Economics and Finance graduates)
  • Certifications/licenses on trust, investment management, asset management. Advantage given to Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree holder
  • Must be familiar with Philippine regulations applicable to the PLUK and its investment managers.
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of Markets and related regulations.
  • Must have acquired skills and expertise to provide appropriate guidance and direction to the firm on the development, implementation, and maintenance of activities related to the management of a financial institution.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of actual experience in investments.
  • At least five (5) years of creditable experience or training in financial management or related disciplines is an advantage.
