About the Role
As the Investment Counselor Team Head, you will lead a team of Investment Counselors, who will collaborate closely with Wealth Managers to engage clients effectively, maximize revenue, and support overall sales and profitability goals. You'll provide valuable market insights and strategic guidance on product selection and portfolio diversification to your assigned team as well as clients and Wealth Managers
Key Responsibilities
- Develop strategies to exceed investment volume and income goals
- Oversee and guide a team of investment counselors to ensure topnotch client engagement and stakeholder management
- Collaborate with product providers to ensure competitive, client-relevant offerings
- Recommend suitable investment products based on client objectives and risk appetite
- Provide market updates and share the bank's investment outlook
- Educate Wealth Managers and clients on product features, benefits, and risks
- Support Wealth Managers in increasing investment AUM and revenue
- Conduct portfolio reviews and identify opportunities for rebalancing and diversification
- Assist with financial needs analysis and sales pitch preparation
- Collaborate with product providers to ensure competitive offerings
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 5 years experience in client-facing or sales roles, preferably within financial services
- Strong grasp of financial markets, macroeconomics, portfolio management, and planning
- Strong knowledge of financial market products including FX, bonds, mutual funds (UITF), and equities; experience with swaps and derivatives is a plus
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Relevant certifications such as CUSP (Certified UITF Salesperson), Mutual Fund Certification, or other licenses for product distribution are preferred
