Job Description
- Originate, evaluate, and execute investment opportunities aligned with the firm's strategy
- Lead financial modelling, valuation analysis, due diligence, and investment recommendation processes
- Support transaction structuring, negotiations, and preparation of investment and board materials
- Contribute to portfolio value creation, investor reporting, fundraising activities, and market research
The Successful Applicant
Non-negotiables / Required
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
- At least 4 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, transaction services, management consulting, corporate development, or strategic finance
- Strong preference for candidates from investment banking or Big 4 transaction services backgrounds
- Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills
- Proven project management skills with the ability to independently lead workstreams
- Commercial and business acumen with strong stakeholder management capabilities
- Structured problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong research and market analysis capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and S&P Capital IQ (or similar platforms)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to deliver accurate work under tight deadlines
- Professional, dependable, accountable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Good-to-haves / Preferred
- MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification
- Experience leading due diligence workstreams across commercial, financial, tax, legal, and ESG areas
- Exposure to transaction structuring and negotiation processes
- Experience preparing investor reports, fundraising materials, and board presentations
- Understanding of private equity portfolio value creation initiatives and post-acquisition planning
- Established network within investment, corporate, or advisory communities
