Job Description

Job Summary:

The Inventory Planning and Control Lead is responsible for ensuring timely and sufficient product availability through effective inventory planning and lifecycle management. The role develops planning strategies, standardizes processes across markets, and drives collaboration across supply chain and commercial teams. It aims to balance supply and demand, minimize waste, and support smooth product transitions

Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Planning Leadership: Lead end-to-end inventory planning to ensure demand requirements are met by working closely with Plants, Tollers, and PPIC to secure timely and sufficient supply.
  • Planning Strategy Development: Define and implement appropriate planning models (e.g., Make-to-Stock, Make-to-Order) based on product and market needs.
  • Strategic SKU Focus: Identify and prioritize strategic SKUs for targeted planning and replenishment.
  • Standardization Across Markets: Develop and implement standardized SKU lifecycle and inventory planning processes across Global Brands markets.
  • Inventory Health Monitoring: Monitor inventory coverage and proactively address aging, excess, or obsolete stock.
  • Depletion & Transition Planning: Coordinate depletion strategies for discontinued or slow-moving SKUs and support product transitions to minimize waste.
  • Process Improvement: Identify planning process gaps and system limitations; lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Documentation & Governance: Develop and maintain SOPs and planning-related documentation to ensure operational consistency and compliance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, QA, Demand Planning, Production Planning, and Logistics Operations to align supply and demand planning efforts.
  • Risk Management: Proactively flag risks such as supply gaps, artwork delays, or forecast misalignments and implement mitigation plans.
  • Supply Reviews: Lead regular inventory and availability reviews with Global Brands and Planning teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field is required
  • Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, or production planning
  • Strong background in working across cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, QA, Manufacturing, Demand Planning, Logistics)
  • Exposure to Global Brands, multi-market, or regional operations is a strong plus
