Job Description

Inventory Planning:

  • Calculate and Monitor Total Lead Time

Determine the full lead time from manufacturing to arrival at U.S. warehouses, including:

-Production time

-Packaging and preparation time

-Shipping/transit time

-Customs clearance and receiving time

Regularly update lead time assumptions based on supplier performance and logistics conditions

Use lead time data to set:

-Reorder points

-Safety stock levels

-Inventory planning cycles

Objective:

Prevent stockouts and overstocking by planning purchases based on accurate timing.

  • Ensure Availability and Cost Optimization of Packaging Supplies

-Maintain adequate stock levels of packaging materials (e.g., boxes, inserts, labels)

-Identify alternative suppliers or packaging options to reduce costs

-Evaluate bulk purchasing, standardization, or material substitution opportunities

-Monitor packaging usage rates and cost per unit

-Objective:

Control fulfillment costs while ensuring uninterrupted shipping operations.

Sales Forecasting:

  • Understand Product Market Share

-Analyze sales trends and demand patterns per product/SKU

-Monitor competitor performance and market positioning

-Identify fast-moving and slow-moving items to guide replenishment decisions

-Use historical sales data to forecast inventory requirements

-Objective:

Ensure inventory levels align with actual demand and market opportunities.

Pricing optimization:

  • Provide different scenarios for shipping cost to the customer location, allocation between the customer's shipping cost share, promotional share, and the company's share

-Company prioritizes margin protection

-Shipping costs vary significantly by distance

-Low promotional activity

Preferred:

  • Graduate from Business and Accounting-related courses
  • At least 3-5 years in a middle management position, Supervisor, or Manager
  • 10 years of experience in eCommerce Inventory management
  • 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations

Compensation: $1,500-$2,000
