Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced
Inventory Controller to oversee inventory accuracy, inventory movement compliance, and inventory reconciliation across warehouses, commissaries, and store operations. The role is responsible for ensuring proper inventory controls, accurate system transactions, physical inventory compliance, and timely resolution of inventory discrepancies.
The ideal candidate has experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, supply chain, retail, food manufacturing, FMCG, distribution, or 3PL environments and possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor inventory movements, including receiving, transfers, issuances, returns, adjustments, and disposals, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure accurate and timely inventory transactions within SAP ERP or other inventory management systems.
- Perform inventory reconciliation and investigate inventory discrepancies, stock variances, and transaction errors.
- Support monthly, quarterly, annual, and cycle count activities to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Analyze inventory shrinkage, spoilage, wastage, and operational losses and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with inventory handling standards, including FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out).
- Prepare inventory reports, variance analyses, and reconciliation schedules for management review.
- Coordinate with Warehouse, Operations, Procurement, Finance, and Logistics teams to resolve inventory-related issues.
- Conduct regular warehouse, commissary, and store visits to validate inventory controls and compliance.
- Support internal and external audits by maintaining complete and accurate inventory documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve inventory processes, controls, and system utilization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Accountancy, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in inventory control, inventory management, warehouse operations, supply chain, logistics, or inventory audit.
- Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, restaurant, retail, distribution, warehouse, or 3PL operations is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience using SAP ERP, SAP Business One, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), or other inventory management systems.
- Strong understanding of inventory reconciliation, stock movement controls, variance analysis, and inventory governance.
- Experience handling physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory audits.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Willing to travel to warehouses, commissaries, and store locations as needed.
