As an Integration Developer (API and Data Migration), you will design and implement secure communication layers between legacy environments and new target systems. You will build robust APIs, lead JSON based data mapping activities, and ensure secure, reliable data transmission to support a smooth and accurate migration process.
What You'll Do and How You'll Succeed
API Development
- Design, develop, and maintain secure RESTful web services to support data exchange between legacy and target systems.
Data Mapping & Transformation
- Serve as the technical lead for JSON payload structuring.
- Parse, validate, and map complex data fields from current formats into target system schema requirements.
Secure Integration
- Implement and manage secure data transmission protocols using REST over HTTPS.
- Ensure all endpoints follow industry standard authentication methods such as OAuth2 and JWT.
Technical Documentation
- Maintain high quality API documentation using Swagger or OpenAPI to ensure seamless collaboration across technical teams.
Migration Support
- Identify and resolve integration bottlenecks throughout the migration effort.
- Ensure legacy system behaviours and functionalities are accurately and efficiently mapped to the new system interfaces.

Experience
- You have 4 to 7 years of professional experience in backend or integration development, preferably in financial services or banking.
- You hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
Technical Expertise
- You have strong experience with RESTful API design and understand the full HTTP lifecycle.
- You possess expert level proficiency in JSON structuring, parsing, and schema validation, with XML as an advantage.
- You understand API security protocols such as SSL or TLS, HTTPS, and token based authentication.
- You have experience using Swagger, OpenAPI, or Postman for API documentation and testing.
- You are familiar with CI or CD pipelines and version control tools such as Git.
- You can translate complex legacy business logic into modern API structures.
Ways of Working
- You collaborate effectively with Business Analysts to translate migration requirements into technical solutions.
- You bring strong analytical and problem solving skills to integration and data mapping challenges.
