Insurance Operations Unit Head

The Insurance Operations Unit Head manages the Head Office Operations Unit consisting of Cashiering, Remittance, Adjustment and Endorsement and Production Reconciliation. The role will also work with the IT team and coordinate testing and implementation of fixed and enhancements of the core system. The role will also handle gathering, clarifying and preparation of business requirements, coordination of UAT, implementation and post-implementation of Comptrollership and Operations system enhancements.

Responsibilities:

A. Management of Head Office Operations Unit

Coaches and guides the Section Heads and Team Heads. Works with Section Heads and Team Heads in managing and coordinating the efforts and activities of the members of the teams in the unit effectively.

Works with the Section and Team Heads in:

• defining KRA targets and achieving those targets
• allocating resources and managing the teams to meet KRA targets
• addressing the requirements of the business
• developing and helping the members of their teams advance in their careers in the organization
• identifying process and system enhancements to address gaps and improve performance and efficiency

B. Work with the Business Units and IT on system enhancements and system issues

• Works with the Comptrollership and Operations stakeholders and IT on system enhancements, including clarifying and preparing business requirements and diagnosing and resolving UAT and post-implementation issues.
• Serves as a resource and work with the Comptrollership and Operations stakeholders and IT in diagnosing and resolving system issues.
• Prepares the Business Requirements for identified Marketing system requirements. Serves as a resource and assists the Marketing Unit Heads and the BDO Insurance Product Manager in the QPS and other Marketing systems projects.

Qualifications:

• Must be a Bachelor&aposs Degree holder
• With extensive experience in Insurance Operations
• Must have experience in managing and leading a team

Must be willing to work onsite and be assigned in Makati or Ortigas.
