You will be required to support end-to-end insurance policy processing for an Australian brokerage, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant handling of personal lines (and commercial, where applicable) policies. This role is delivery-focused and may at times extend beyond the duties listed below to ensure service levels, compliance standards, and client expectations are consistently met.
You will be responsible for processing new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations, while providing administrative and client support to brokers and stakeholders. The role requires strong attention to detail, system proficiency (particularly WinBEAT), and a solid understanding of Australian general insurance processes and compliance requirements.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Process new insurance policy applications, ensuring all required information is complete and accurate.
- Manage policy endorsements, renewals, and cancellations within agreed turnaround times.
- Review policy documentation for compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Respond to client inquiries regarding policy status, coverage details, and billing matters.
- Provide accurate and timely policy information to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Liaise with clients, brokers, underwriters, and insurers to resolve policy-related issues.
- Maintain accurate records in WinBEAT and other brokerage systems (e.g., OrganiseIT, where applicable).
- Prepare and submit regular reports on policy processing volumes and service performance.
- Ensure all processing activities comply with internal policies and Australian insurance regulations.
- Stay up to date with changes in insurance regulations, insurer guidelines, and industry practices.
Requirements:
- 23 years experience in Australian general insurance (personal lines required; commercial lines advantageous).
- Previous experience with an Australian brokerage is required.
- Proficiency in WinBEAT is essential; experience with OrganiseIT is an advantage.
- Tier 1 or Tier 2 Insurance Broking qualification is advantageous.
- Strong working knowledge of general insurance products, compliance requirements, and industry practices.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Clear and professional communication skills for client and stakeholder interactions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
