The Instructional Designer will be responsible for developing innovative online and virtual instructor led learning offerings for our organization's employees to support our Professional and Leadership Development programs. These include self-paced courses (delivered via LMS); scripted, animated video tutorials; microlearning lessons; as well as quick start guides and other job aids/instructional materials. The ID will collaborate with cross-functional subject matter experts, internal team members, end users, and external agencies to develop learner-centered content based on best practices of adult learning, universal design for learning, and inclusive practices. The ideal candidate is an innovative, collaborative, problem-solving ID who is knowledgeable in design strategies for performance-based outcomes with experience working across multiple instructional delivery modalities to create high-quality digital learning experiences. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer
Actively support efforts to enhance the customer experience through the development and delivery of digital instructional content and programs, with a focus on developing systems and process proficiency
Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience's training needs
State instructional end goals and create content that matches them
Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc.)
Decide on the criteria used to judge learner's performance and develop assessment instruments
Maintain project documentation and course folders
Work with team members to perform needs analysis, manage expectations, and evaluate effectiveness
Translate technical and complex concepts into concise and comprehensive instructions
Utilize an adaptive writing style to the needs of individual projects
Create rapid eLearning content using Camtasia Studio
Voice talent for eLearning videos by recording audio with provided microphone equipment
Promote continuous improvement of department resources through positive, team-oriented actions
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or strong related experience with learning design
1-3 years of work experience in instructional design and/or with instructional technology
Outgoing attitude and effective communicator
Familiarity with administration of one or more learning management systems
Excellent public speaking and presentation skills
Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Must be willing to work in the office at Bridgetowne, Quezon City
Must be willing to work during US time zone
Preferences:
Bachelor's degree in: Instructional Design, Professional Communications, English, or Education
Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and the ADDIE method
Lesson and curriculum planning skills
Solid knowledge of course development software and at least one Learning Management System
Visual design skills (Captivate, DominKnow, Powtoon, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and ability to storyboard
Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
