Job Description

Position Overview

The Instructional Designer is a key contributor to MEDVA's learning and development strategy, reporting directly to the Director of Enablement. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality training and enablement materials that support both internal teams and client-facing programs.

The ideal candidate collaborates closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to create engaging, scalable, and performance-driven learning experiences. This role plays a critical part in driving operational consistency, knowledge transfer, and employee effectiveness across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Instructional Design & Content Development

  • Design and develop instructional materials including e-learning modules, training manuals, videos, and assessments
  • Create detailed storyboards, scripts, and structured course outlines for various learning programs
  • Translate complex concepts into clear, engaging, and learner-centric content
  • Develop interactive learning experiences using tools such as Articulate and Thinkific
  • Ensure all content aligns with MEDVA's operational goals, branding standards, and client expectations
  • Continuously update and improve learning materials based on feedback and performance metrics

Collaboration & Program Support

  • Partner with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to gather content and validate accuracy
  • Support both internal enablement initiatives and client-facing training programs
  • Contribute to the standardization and scalability of training across departments

Educational & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in instructional design, e-learning development, or corporate training
  • Experience supporting remote or distributed teams preferred
  • Hands-on experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning environments

Skills & Competencies

  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Thinkific) and LMS platforms
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts into clear, actionable learning content
  • High attention to detail and commitment to content quality
  • Familiarity with multimedia design, including audio, video, and graphics
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
