JOB SUMMARY

The Instructional Designer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality online learning experiences for employees and customers. This role focuses on instructional design, curriculum development, and assessment creation within the Online Learning Center (OLC). The Instructional Designer partners with subject-matter experts across the organization to translate complex product and operational knowledge into engaging, effective, and measurable learning content.

GOAL / OBJECTIVE OF POSITION

The primary goal of the Instructional Designer is to create and sustain a high-quality, user-friendly, and effective online learning ecosystem that supports customer success, employee development, and product adoption.

Job Highlights

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm EST

Work Arrangement: Work from home

Contract: Independent Contractor

Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an Independent Contractor, the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and publish online learning content for internal and customer-facing audiences
  • Collaborate with product experts to design courses, curricula, and learning assessments
  • Solicit and curate instructional content from subject-matter experts across the organization
  • Develop role-based learning paths aligned with real-world operational processes
  • Create and maintain assessments to measure learning comprehension and effectiveness

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong background in Instructional Design (certificate, degree, or relevant experience)
  • Strong video editing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
