Inspector

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspection of silicon optics products based on specifications and quality standards.
• Inspect products for defects, scratches, chips, contamination, dimensional abnormalities, and other quality issues.
• Use precision measuring tools such as Digimatic calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
• Verify product dimensions and appearance according to drawings, work instructions, and inspection standards.
• Record inspection results accurately and maintain required quality documentation.
• Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming products to the supervisor or QA personnel.
• Perform inspection of incoming, in-process, and finished products as assigned.
• Follow established quality, safety, and 5S procedures.
• Support production during ramp-up activities and increased volume requirements.
• Perform other inspection-related tasks as assigned.
  
  

Education & Experience

• Vocational/Technical graduate, preferably with technical knowledge in Manufacturing, Inspection, or related fields.
• Knowledge of precision measurement and dimensional inspection.
• With experience in manufacturing, quality inspection is preferred.
• Experience using Digimatic calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments is an advantage.

• Good visual acuity and strong attention to detail
• Ability to identify product defects and abnormalities
• Basic ability to read drawings, specifications, and work instructions
• Accurate documentation and record keeping
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to learn and follow standard procedures
• Able to work under production targets and deadlines
• Good manual dexterity and fine motor skills
  
  

Working Conditions

• 100% onsite work
• Requires prolonged standing during working hours.
• May involve repetitive inspection and handling activities.
• May be required to work on rest days/Sundays depending on production requirements.
• Must be physically capable of handling materials required for the position.
• Strict compliance with quality, safety, and workplace procedures is required.
