Role Overview
The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) supports the organization's growth by generating new business opportunities through proactive outreach, building relationships with potential clients, and setting qualified meetings for the sales team.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development (90%)
- Conduct prospecting activities to identify potential customers
- Perform proactive outbound outreach via phone, email, and other channels
- Create a professional and engaging first impression with prospects and customers
- Research prospects and schedule appointments for Field Sales Representatives
- Qualify leads through discovery calls, emails, and other communication methods
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM systems and tracking sheets
- Generate new business opportunities through consistent outbound efforts
- Conduct initial discovery calls to understand customer needs and align solutions
- Follow up and nurture existing leads to drive engagement
Daily Activities
- Pre-call research and planning
- Cold and warm calling
- Lead follow-ups and relationship nurturing
- Updating CRM systems and tracking tools
- Collaborating with sales management to develop targeted prospect lists, call strategies, and messaging
Qualifications & Experience
- 3-4 years of experience in a similar sales or business development role
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience in sales, lead generation, or business development is an advantage
