Team Overview
GTI - Infrastructure Production Management is responsible for end‑to‑end oversight of production stability across GTI infrastructure. Its activities span incident reduction, major incident governance, problem management acceleration, change‑risk assurance, DR/start‑of‑business readiness, trend‑based prevention, and infrastructure hygiene—acting as the control and coordination layer across teams and vendors.

Your Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the below in all GTI core components. Ie. Compute, Databases, backup, Storage, Networks and all other standard products/tools used in Infrastructure estate.
- Production Stability & Incident Reduction
- Major Incident Governance & Escalation
- Problem Management & Root Cause Acceleration
- Change Assurance & Change‑Risk Control
- Production Readiness
- Service Health Monitoring & Trend Analysis
Your Skills And Experience
- 10 plus years experience of running or being a key part of technology operations across multiple countries dealing with multilingual, multi-country and multi-business issues.
- Very good experience/knowledge in core infrastructure components ie. Compute (ie. Unix/Wintel), Databases (Oracle/SQLserver/Sybase), Backup, Storage, Networks & other products/tools. Good understanding of COBIT and ITIL and how pragmatically to make that effective.
- Be able to have a good general understanding of how the bank operates, how the technology supporting the bank operates and the constraints under which we operate as a bank. Be able to effectively help keep the banks platforms stable.
- Bring the technology community together to do all we can to avoid impact and drive stability positively as well be able to react and manage effectively when serious issues do occur.
- Experience of vendor engagement and service management to drive discussions with our vendors where necessary. Able to build strong and trusted relationships with CIO and CSO stakeholders across the bank.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field.
- Have a strong Knowledge of ITIL service support principles to a minimum of a foundation level (V3 is preferred) and how they relate to other IT disciplines
- Capability to interact successfully in a global multi-cultural, multi-vendor environment
- High level of customer awareness and commercial focus
- Excellent communication and influencing skills to both technology and business colleagues
- Exposure to vendor management and vendor sourcing processes
- Self-motivated and ability to organize themselves and others.
- Experience with liaising with engineering teams and managing vendor teams.
