Job Description

Work Location: Davao City (Onsite / Office-Based)

This entry-level technician assists with technical support for end user systems/applications, helping to resolve technical problems. The associate technician further assists in performing basic system management functions for client systems using a variety of tools such as Active Directory. At this entry level, the incumbent is still learning technology support work for his or her assigned location.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion's ministry in prayer.
  • Acts as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understands Christ's mandate to protect children. Commits to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abides by all behavioral expectations in Compassion's Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Reports any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion's internal reporting process and appropriately supports responses to incidents if they occur.
  • Responds to internal client requests for basic technical support, documenting, tracking and monitoring incidents to ensure a timely resolution.
  • Assists in troubleshooting basic issues to restore service and identify and resolve problems.
  • Performs of assists with desktop application deployments, client systems patching, hardware provisioning, and other general client support activities.
  • May perform system management functions related to system management toolsets such as Anti-virus and desktop management systems.
  • May engage with third party technical experts as needed to resolve technical problems and restore service.
  • May provide some general administrative support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Strong customer service and people-facing skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with non-technical users.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Familiarity with IT tools such as Active Directory, desktop management systems, and antivirus software is a plus.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbalespecially in Englishare preferred.
  • Demonstrates accountability, a proactive attitude, and a strong willingness to learn and develop technical competencies.
  • A committed member of a local church with a passion for serving churches and children's ministry.
  • Equivalent education, training and/or certification may be substituted for experience and education shown above
