Job Purpose:
The Solutions Manager is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle management of enterprise and digital applicationsfrom solution design, build, and deployment to continuous improvement and retirement. This role acts as the bridge between business, product, and technology teams, ensuring that business needs are translated into sustainable, high-quality technical solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
APPLICATIONS MANAGEMENT
- Ensures applications are well-maintained, supported, and continuously improved throughout their lifecycle (design, transition, operation, and retirement).
- Defines and enforces Application Portfolio Management standards, ensuring technology currency, security compliance, and cost efficiency.
- Oversees capacity planning, availability, reliability, and scalability of assigned applications.
- Ensures knowledge management and documentation for applications are consistently maintained.
- Collaborates with IT Operations and AppSupport to manage incident, problem, and change processes related to applications.
- Works with Security, DevOps, and Infrastructure teams to ensure applications adhere to governance, compliance, and resiliency requirements.
SOLUTIONS DELIVERY & DESIGN
- Technically leads the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-grade solutions that meet business objectives.
- Define or approve the technical architecture and design of applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
- Collaborates with Solutions Architects, Product Owners, and Business Analysts, as applicable, to ensure technical feasibility and architectural integrity.
- Balances build vs. buy decisions and evaluates SaaS, low-code, or custom-build options where appropriate.
- Collaborates with Solutions Architects and fellow Solutions Managers to define/refine solution standards and best practices that align with enterprise architecture.
- Ensures non-functional requirements (NFRs) such as performance, scalability, and security are considered in every delivery.
- Evaluate new technologies and tools to enhance application development and delivery processes.
VENDOR & PARTNER MANAGEMENT
- Manages external vendors and system integrators involved in solution delivery or application support.
- Defines and monitors SLAs, KPIs, and performance metrics for both internal and external partners.
- Reviews and validates technical deliverables, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and IT standards.
CHANGE ENABLEMENT & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT, ETC.
- Manage and approve change requests and assess their impact on existing applications, ensuring that changes are implemented efficiently, and without disrupting business operations.
- Measures and reports application performance, business impact, and ROI.
- Drives process optimization and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and service quality.
- Continuously scans technology trends to propose innovations, upgrades, or replacements for legacy systems.
- Aligns initiatives with the organization's digital transformation roadmap and data-driven goals.
- Promotes a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
- Facilitates knowledge transfer and training to ensure application sustainability beyond individual contributors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 5+ years in IT or software development, with at least 2 years in managerial or leadership roles
- Proven experience managing enterprise applications or large-scale digital solutions
- Understanding of SDLC, Application Lifecycle
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies
- Experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and DevOps practices
- Willing to work in MOA Square, Pasay City
