Job Responsibilities

  • The Income Audit Manager is responsible for overseeing the accuracy and integrity of the hotel's daily revenue reporting and audit processes. Reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Income Audit, this role supports both the Income Audit Manager and Income Audit Associates in ensuring timely and precise income audits. The Income Audit Manager verifies and reconciles all revenue streams in compliance with company policies and accounting standards, playing a critical role in maintaining financial integrity and supporting operational decision-making.
  • Lead and manage the daily income audit process from all departments (Rooms, F&B, Events, etc.)
  • Verify and reconcile daily revenue reports by cross-referencing system-generated data from Opera Cloud PMS, POS systems in other outlets to ensure consistency and accuracy in all postings.
  • Review the accuracy of Daily,Monthly revenue reports and other related reports to management.
  • Oversee payment reconciliations across cash, credit cards, house accounts, and other payment methods
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in revenue reports and postings by conducting detailed analysis and implementing corrective actions to maintain financial integrity
  • Develop and enforce compliance with company policies, internal controls, and audit procedures. Supervise and provide guidance to the income audit team; train and support team members as needed
  • Coordinate closely with Front Office, F&B, Sales and Events, and Reservations teams to verify revenue accuracy.
  • Collaborate with IT and operations teams to improve revenue system integrations and ensure data accuracy across platforms
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to income accounts reconciliations in POS Simphony, OPERA Cloud and SUNSystem.
  • Train and mentor income audit staff on best practices in POS Simphony, OPERA Cloud and SUNSystem usage, as well as auditing procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Hospitality Management.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in income audit or hotel finance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and revenue auditing procedures.
  • Strong working knowledge of Opera Cloud PMS and Oracle MICROS POS used in hospitality operations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities, with a collaborative mindset.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Proficient in Opera PMS, MICROS/POS, SunSystems, and other hotel management systems.
  • Familiarity with hospitality accounting standards (USALI).
  • Experience in multi-property or cluster operations.
  • Knowledgeable of Tax regulations and hospitality compliance standards.
  • Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA (a plus).
