About the Job
The In-Country Recruitment Manager (ICRM) represents Federation University in Philippines and Indonesia, supporting student recruitment activities, enhancing student support and engagement services, and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders, including education agents, industry, alumni, partner schools.
This role is responsible for expanding the university's presence in the assigned region by implementing sustainable student recruitment strategies, conversion sales plans, business development initiatives, and strategic partnerships.
The position works closely with the Regional Manager, SEA, and the broader regional team, collaborating with International Admissions, Marketing, and Compliance to achieve annual regional sales targets
Responsibilities and Deliverables
Sales and student recruitment
- Develop and implement strategies to recruit students from Philippines and Indonesia with a potential to explore/ expand to other region in SEA as part of personal development opportunity.
- Coordinate recruitment, marketing, sales, partnership, and business development activities in a specific country to support the University's international growth and enrolment targets.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver regional and country-specific strategies that develop new international revenue streams.
- Support Federation University's agent network in-country, providing agent training, managing agent pipelines, and supporting agent performance against agreed sales targets.
- Generate international student enrolments and develop business opportunities in line with defined targets and within budget.
- Support the development of new academic partnerships with a clear focus on enrolment outcomes and sustainable growth.
- Provide regular market insights, competitor intelligence, and feedback on local recruitment trends to the Regional Manager, and support the coordination of regional plans and operations.
Agent and Stakeholder Engagement
- Support and manage the in-country agent network through regular communication, performance monitoring, agent training, and student pipeline management.
- Provide timely and consistent support to agents, partners, and education organisations to build Federation University's brand and market credibility.
- Represent the University at student recruitment events, including school visits, seminars, expos, and pre-departure sessions to support international student recruitment and conversion.
- Deliver outstanding customer service to future students, partners, agents, and related stakeholders throughout the student journey.
Admissions and Compliance
- Provide accurate and timely advice to prospective students, agents, and stakeholders regarding admission requirements, course information, and application processes.
- Working closely with the Regional Manager and International Admissions to achieve defined targets without compromising standards and in adherence with university and government policies and legislations.
- Monitoring visa statuses and follow up to convert students throughout the admissions cycle, with specific emphasis on offer conversion.
- Collaborate with International Admissions to resolve admission issues, including entry requirements, articulation agreements, and advanced standing processes, ensuring market-appropriate adaptations where necessary.
Reporting and Collaboration
The ICRM works under the general direction of the Regional Manager, Southeast Asia to develop strategic recruitment plans for the assigned markets and to achieve recruitment target.
Key Selection Criteria
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, International Relations, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in student recruitment, international education, or a related sector.
- Understanding of the Australian Education system and government policies that affect international student recruitment in the Philippines market and support in Australia as well ability to impact through skillful sales and marketing activities.
- Proven track record of achieving sale target and ability to work under high pressure
- Experience in organizing and coordinating large scale events, including digital/online events. Able to use your own initiative to support overall team objectives where required.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and local language, demonstrate ability to adapt the presentation to suit different audiences.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team and manage multiple tasks to meet recruitment targets.
- Experience working with education agents and partners is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tool.
- Strong skills in reporting, budget management, and CRM usage.
- Willingness to travel frequently and occasionally work during weekend
Terms and Conditions
The contractor is expected to operate under a 12-month service agreement with annual renewal based on performance, working remotely from Manila, Philippines. The contractor must:
- Hold a registered business household license and have legal work rights in Philippines.
- Maintain current professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
- Adhere to Federation University's operational policies including Code of Conduct and Equal Opportunity guidelines.
