The Implementation Consultant is responsible for the successful installation of non-complex new retirement plan sales, acting project manager and consultant for conversion activities. The Conversion Consultant will also act as the point of contact with Plan Sponsors, Financial Advisors and Third-Party Administrators.
What you will do
- Responsible for the successful installation of standard/non-complex new transfer or start-up retirement plan sales.
- Acts as the primary contact for Empower during the conversion process.
- Perform weekly conference calls on assigned sales and consults with various client contacts including plan sponsors, financial advisors, third party administrators, relationship/client service managers, regional sales directors, prior providers, payroll vendors and various internal departments with respect to the timing of conversion, outstanding items, critical tasks and overall project management.
- Discusses service agreements, contracts and product features with plan sponsors, financial advisors and third-party administrators for suitability and comprehension of administrative duties.
- Review plan provisions with plans electing internal compliance services to ensure accurate restatement of retirement plan documents.
- Coordinates the integration and mapping of payroll files/methods with the plan sponsor to Empower.
- Facilitate the transfer of plan assets and records though written and verbal communication with prior providers, client contacts and various internal departments.
- Maintain established internal deadlines and timelines associated with transfer and start-up plan activity.
- Produce quality work on assigned sales through various quality assurance measures.
- Follow established procedures designed to minimize market risks and gain/loss situations.
- Transition plans timely from blackout release to the on-going client service manager.
- Must be willing to work extended hours and overtime during peak seasons or high volume.

What you will bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field preferred.
- Other Preferred Qualifications.
- 1-2 years Implementation or related work experience.
- Proficient knowledge of various IRS codes; 457, 401(k), 403(b), 401(a), etc.
- Proficient knowledge of IRS/DOL reporting knowledge.
- Proficient regulatory compliance and plan document knowledge.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail required.
- Excellent time management.
- Moderate level of autonomy and degree of decision making and escalates high impact decisions to management while using general instructions to perform assigned tasks.
- Performs review of participant conversion data and activity to prevent risk of loss due to errors.
- Develops working relationships with peers and management.
- Interacts with a wide audience, including plan sponsors, financial advisors, third party administrators, relationship/client service managers, regional sales director s, prior providers, payroll vendors and various internal departments.
