Your Role And Responsibilities
As an Application Tester specializing in Asset Management, you will play a key role in testing and validating Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) applications built on IBM Maximo and related technologies. This role emphasizes ensuring solution quality, performance, and reliability through structured testing, defect analysis, and continuous improvement of EAM applications. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Test Execution & Validation: Perform functional, regression, and automation testing for IBM Maximo applications, validating modules, workflows, and configurations against business requirements.
- Automation Development: Build, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using MTAF and Selenium WebDriver, ensuring broad test coverage and reliability.
- Test Planning & Analysis: Analyze requirements, define test scenarios, prepare test cases and test data, and review system behavior against asset management or maintenance workflows.
- Defect Management: Identify, log, and track defects while collaborating closely with development and support teams to drive timely issue resolution.
- Reporting & Process Improvement: Document test results, prepare clear reports, and contribute to the enhancement of testing frameworks, methodologies, and quality assurance best practices.
Required Technical And Professional Expertise
- Maximo Testing Expertise: Experience testing IBM Maximo in either functional or technical capacities.
- Automation Tools: Handson experience using MTAF for automation and proficiency with Selenium WebDriver.
- Scripting Skills: Ability to write basic automation scripts using Java, Python, or similar programming languages.
- Testing Methodologies: Strong understanding of functional, regression, and automation testing practices.
- Analytical & Domain Knowledge: Solid analytical, documentation, and problemsolving skills, with familiarity in asset management or maintenance operations considered a plus.
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
- Maximo & Technical Testing: Exposure to Maximo configurations, workflows, or integrations, along with experience using API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
- QA Tools & Frameworks: Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar defecttracking tools, plus an understanding of automation frameworks and continuous testing approaches.
- Collaboration & Domain Knowledge: Ability to work effectively with business analysts, developers, and support teams, with familiarity in asset management or maintenance operations as a plus.
