- This position is physically located in the Philippines in support of LOGCAP***
Under the supervision of the Facilities Operation & Maintenance Mechanical / HVAC R Foreman, the HVAC-R TECH will assist the Mechanical / HVAC R Foreman in the execution and delivery of extensive technical services related to Facilities Maintenance for the MEP, HVAC/REF, systems across multiple locations within the V2X account, particularly at Agila Shipyard Subic, located in Subic Bay Freeport, Philippines. This position entails the engagement of maintenance, safety, quality, and compliance considerations to guarantee that all MEP, HVAC/REF, systems and facilities adhere to organizational standards, thereby ensuring a safe and functional environment for both employees and clients. Tasked with engagement in MEP, HVAC/REF, FDAS & FirePro systems & facility operations, preventive maintenance, repair, & system improvement activities in accordance with the LOGCAP V contract to guarantee safety, quality, compliance, and mission preparedness.

- Install, maintain, and repair MEP, HVAC/REF, systems and equipment to guarantee safe and dependable operation.
- Perform routine evaluations, inspections of MEP, HVAC/REF, systems and oversee maintenance timelines.
- Conducting preventive maintenance on MEP, HVAC/REF, equipment and systems to reduce downtime.
- Conducts inspections and monitoring programs for equipment; establishes and applies optimal maintenance practices to enhance the overall uptime of electrical & mechanical equipment. Inspecting and maintaining MEP, HVAC/REF, systems to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Identify MEP, HVAC/REF, issues and carry out routine maintenance, which includes testing and replacing faulty components. Resolving electrical problems and implementing solutions to correct issues. Assess major system failures and equipment malfunctions and execute repairs and maintenance on MEP, HVAC/REF, devices. Reviewing finished work and diagnosing MEP, HVAC/REF, problems. Expertise in different MEP, HVAC/REF, systems, including Generators, Packaged Air Conditioning Unit(PACU), Dehumidifiers, Refrigerated Cold Storage Containers, Ceiling Cassette Air Conditioning (CCAC), Floor Standing Air Conditioning units, Split Type Air conditioning unit, Fan Coil Units (FCU), Air Compressor, Air-conditioning compressors, Air Conditioning Condenser Fans/Blowers, Extract/Exhaust Fans, Water Heaters, Domestic Water & Sewage Water Pump systems.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and standards, while offering training and guidance to personnel.It is essential to guarantee that all operations adhere to safety regulations and company policies. This includes performing regular safety inspections, recognizing potential hazards, establishing safety procedures, and providing staff training.
- Engage with fellow technical staff members and contractors to guarantee effective coordination of MEP, HVAC/REF, tasks. Collaborating with maintenance personnel to guarantee seamless and effective facility operations.
- Safety and Risk Management Compliance: It is essential to ensure that all operations adhere to safety regulations and company policies. This includes performing regular safety inspections, recognizing potential hazards, establishing safety procedures, and participating in training for MEP, HVAC/REF, staff.
- Required to track MEP, HVAC/REF, maintenance in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations and technical manual, e.g. Generators, Packaged Air Conditioning Unit(PACU), Dehumidifiers, Refrigerated Cold Storage Containers, Ceiling Cassette Air Conditioning (CCAC), Floor Standing Air Conditioning units, Split Type Air conditioning unit, Fan Coil Units (FCU), Air Compressor, Air-conditioning compressors, Air Conditioning Condenser Fans/Blowers, Extract/Exhaust Fans, systems, Water Heaters, Domestic Water & Sewage Water Pump systems testing and serviced periodically and shall be inputted into a database such as IBM Maximo. All work described herein shall be performed within the specifications outlined in the SOW.

Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Undergraduate in mechanical engineering (1st/2nd year) or Senior High School with relevant/suitable 5+ years in actual or hands-on HVAC career experience.
- Required Transport Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Servicing NC-2 Certificate.
- Required to possess relevant HVAC or Refrigeration certification and possess experience with diverse HVAC & Refrigeration equipment and systems.
- Required to possess TESDA Shielded Metal ARC Welding (SMAW) NC-2 or GAS Metal ARC Welding (GMAW) NC-2 or GAS Tungsten ARC Welding (GTAW) NC-2 or GAS Welding NC-2 Certificate.
- Required Aerial & Scissor Lift or Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) Certification and Training.
- Required either one of BOSH, COSH, DOLE SO1, or SO2 qualifications.
- TESDA Scaffolding Erections & Scaffolding Works NC-2 qualification is an advantage.
- Possessing OSHA, NEBOSH, IOSH, or Fire Safety qualifications is an advantage.
- Level 1 Thermographer qualifications and have a minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in conducting Annual Electrical Thermal Scanning inspections, testing, and corrective maintenance is an advantage.
- Possess a valid PH Driver's License (Code B or B1)
- Must be Filipino Citizen
- Experience:
- Must possess appropriate knowledge and experience in Facilities Operation and Maintenance Management.
- A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in MEP, HVAC/REF Systems and Facilities, installation, operation, and maintenance, repair, troublshooting whether locally or internationally.
- Required knowledge & Experience in MEP, HVAC/REF systems.
- Having a strong background in HVAC/Refrigeration systems and the operation and maintenance of facilities, including various HVAC/Refrigeration equipment such as Packaged Air Conditioning Unit (PACU), Dehumidifiers, Refrigerated Cold Storage Containers, Ceiling Cassette Air Conditioning (CCAC), Floor Standing Air Conditioning units, Split Type Air conditioning unit, Fan Coil Units (FCU), Air Compressor, Air-conditioning compressors, Air Conditioning Condenser Fans/Blowers, Extract/Exhaust Fans systems & etc. It is crucial to recognize that having knowledge and experience with Annual Electrical Shutdown Activities (including high voltage, medium voltage, and low voltage electrical systems), as well as PTW, MOS, HIRAC, & LOTO procedures, is considered a valuable advantage. Knowledge of Chillers, and Cooling Towers, is considered required.
- Having experience in overseeing the MEP, HVAC/REF systems and facilities of a shipyard, drydock, or critical environment is required.
- Possessing expertise in Energy Management and Sustainability initiatives is an advantage.
- Required experience in using Maximo, for the creation and tracking of service/work orders.
- Outstanding proficiency in both spoken and written English.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working Conditions:
- The worker is subject to extreme heat. Temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind and humidity.
- The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.
- The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
- Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift/push/pull 25 lbs.; Work will require walking up and down stairs, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices. Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
