Role Overview
We are expanding our team and looking for a US Estimator with a focus on HVAC components. You will be responsible for producing accurate cost estimates, performing quantity takeoffs, and collaborating with US-based teams, vendors, and project managers. This is a fully remote role, ideal for candidates who are detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced with HVAC systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for HVAC systems and components (ductwork, grills, fans, heaters, air handlers, etc.).
- Conduct quantity takeoffs and cost analysis for HVAC, commercial painting, and architectural millwork projects.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and documents to determine material, labor, and equipment costs.
- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with budgets.
- Maintain detailed documentation of estimates, assumptions, and vendor communications.
- Utilize construction takeoff software (Togal AI, Bluebeam, Planswift, etc.) for HVAC components.
- Oversee system updates, access, and technical issue resolution.
- Assist clients in integrating CRM data (e.g., HubSpot) with dashboards for cost, sales, revenue, and performance tracking.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in estimation and quantity takeoffs for HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with HVAC components: ductwork, air handlers, fans, heaters, grills, etc.
- Experience with US-based teams or companies.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with CRMs and construction/trades software (Building Connect, Buildertrend, or similar).
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter capable of working independently and solving problems proactively.
- Experience with On-Screen Takeoff (OST) tools and similar applications.
