HR MANAGER (Plant Operations)
Job Summary:
The HR Manager will oversee all Human Resource functions within the plant, ensuring that manpower, employee relations, and compliance processes support smooth plant operations. This role partners closely with operations leadership to manage workforce planning, employee engagement, labor relations, and HR policy implementation in alignment with company standards and the Labor Code of the Philippines.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment & Manpower Planning
- Develop and implement effective hiring strategies to meet production and seasonal manpower requirements.
- Coordinate with line managers for timely deployment of workers and staff.
- Oversee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure employee readiness.
2. Employee Relations & Labor Management
- Serve as the main point of contact for employee concerns, disciplinary actions, and grievance handling.
- Manage harmonious relations with rank-and-file and supervisory employees, and handle union coordination (if applicable).
- Lead investigations and recommend fair resolutions aligned with company policies and labor laws.
3. Timekeeping, Compensation, and Benefits
- Oversee timekeeping accuracy, attendance monitoring, and payroll coordination.
- Ensure government-mandated benefits and company benefits are properly administered.
- Manage third-party manpower agencies and ensure compliance with contractual standards.
4. Training & Development
- Identify training needs and implement skills development programs for plant employees.
- Support succession planning and performance management within operations.
5. Compliance & Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Support
- Ensure compliance with DOLE regulations and internal HR policies.
- Collaborate with HSE and Admin teams on employee welfare, safety, and workplace standards.
6. HR Administration & Reporting
- Maintain HR records, reports, and metrics for management review.
- Drive employee engagement programs, recognition activities, and morale-building initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Human Resource Management, or any related field.
- At least 5 years of HR generalist experience, with 2 years in a supervisory or managerial rolepreferably in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws and government compliance.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Must be willing to be based on-site in the plant location.
