A leading maritime transportation company is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to oversee and support its HR operations in the Philippines. This role is ideal for candidates with strong generalist HR experience, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a proven ability to drive people initiatives that align with business objectives.
Summary of the Role
The Human Resources Business Partner will serve as the primary HR contact for the Philippine office, managing end-to-end HR functions while collaborating closely with the Singapore Head Office. You will be responsible for supporting talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits administration, compliance, and employee engagement initiatives. This role requires a hands-on HR professional who can balance strategic partnership with operational execution in a multicultural business environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to align HR strategies with organizational goals, workforce planning, and succession initiatives
- Provide guidance on HR policies, employee relations matters, performance management, and organizational changes
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and offboarding employees
- Administer payroll, benefits programs, statutory requirements, and employee records while ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Ensure compliance with Philippine labor laws, government regulations, and company policies
- Drive employee engagement, learning and development, and talent management initiatives to enhance employee experience
- Maintain HR systems, prepare reports and analytics, and support regional and local HR projects as required
Must-Have Skills / Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in an HR Generalist or Human Resources Business Partner role
- Proven HR experience within the maritime, shipping, vessel management, marine, or transportation industry is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws, statutory compliance, payroll administration, and employee relations
- Experience handling recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation and benefits, and employee engagement programs
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms; experience with Workday HCM is an advantage
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience supporting regional or multinational organizations is preferred
- Background in maritime, shipping, logistics, transportation, or related industries is an advantage
