The
HR Lead (People and Culture) is a strategic and operational HR leader responsible for overseeing end-to-end People & Culture functions across Philippine operations supporting Australian / US clients.
This role ensures workforce capability, compliance with Philippine labor laws, alignment with Australian / US client expectations, and the cultivation of a high-performance, engagement-driven culture within an outsourcing environment.
The position partners closely with leadership, Client Account Advisers (CAA), and Australian / US stakeholders to align HR strategies with business growth objectives.
In This Role, You Will
- Strategic HR Leadership
- Lead and oversee the full spectrum of People & Culture operations, ensuring alignment with business goals and Australian / US client requirements.
- Act as a strategic advisor to leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, risk mitigation, and talent strategy.
- Develop and implement HR frameworks that support scalability, operational excellence, and service delivery standards.
- Establish HR metrics and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
- Employee Relations & Labor Compliance
- Serve as the escalation point for complex employee relations cases, including terminations, redundancies, and grievance handling.
- Ensure strict adherence to the Philippine Labor Code and DOLE regulatory requirements.
- Oversee due process implementation and proper documentation in all disciplinary matters.
- Proactively identify and mitigate employee relations risks.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure appropriate information on governance standards.
- Performance Management
- Monitor and process performance reviews for all internal staff and Serviced Office (SO) staff.
- Standardize the performance management framework for probationary, regular, and internal employees.
- Track the timely completion and overall quality of performance evaluations.
- Align performance outcomes with development planning, retention strategies, and compensation decisions.
- Provide support in conducting structured and constructive performance conversations.
- Learning & Development
- Oversee the facilitation of New Hire Orientation (NHO) programs under the department.
- Develop and coordinate internal and leadership development programs.
- Track and evaluate training effectiveness using measurable KPIs.
- Maintain accurate training records and compliance documentation.
- Compensation & Benefits
- Analyze compensation and benefits trends within the outsourcing and Australian/US support services sector.
- Benchmark salary structures to ensure competitiveness and retention.
- Provide recommendations on base pay adjustments and incentive programs aligned with performance outcomes.
- Oversee personnel movements including regularization, promotions, and salary adjustments.
- Culture & Employee Engagement
- Support initiatives that strengthen organizational culture, employee engagement, and retention. Oversee engagement programs aligned with company values and workplace expectations.
- Conduct structured check-ins or pulse discussions to monitor engagement and overall wellbeing.
- Oversee employee rewards and recognition programs.
- Plan and manage department or team participation in company-wide activities and engagement events within approved budgets.
- HR Operations & Governance
- Develop, review, and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistent application.
- Oversee HRIS administration (e.g., Sprout) and safeguard employee records (201 files).
- Monitor health and safety compliance within office operations.
- Oversee leave governance and ensure policy adherence.
- Cross-Functional & Client Partnership
- Collaborate with departments to ensure HR strategies support operational excellence.
- Partner with specific clients when necessary to ensure workforce alignment with service expectations. Contribute to strategic projects, system improvements, and process optimization initiatives.
- Support and mentor HR team members to maintain high service standards.
Were Looking For Someone Who Has
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or any related field.
- Minimum of 57 years of work experience
- Experience performing HR Generalist functions and managing multiple HR facets - including performance management systems - preferably within a BPO or outsourcing environment
- Strong working knowledge of Philippine Labor Law and DOLE regulations.
- Experience supporting Australian or International clients preferred.
- Strong stakeholder management capabilities and cross-cultural communication skills.
