JOB OVERVIEW
The Employee Relations Officer is responsible in creating and delivering people practices which develop and maintain positive working relationships between an organization and its people. Plays the key role in resolving workplace conflicts, addressing employee concerns, and ensuring fair treatment and compliance with labor laws and regulations. Employee Relation Officer contributes to employee`s satisfaction, engagement, and retention, ultimately enhancing productivity and organizational success by maintaining a harmonious and productive workforce.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serves as the point of contact for employee relations, conduct, and/or compliance concerns.
- Assess the nature and severity of Incident Reports or complaints received, to conduct initial investigation and resolve complex or critical employee relations issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Handling employee complaints, managing grievance procedures, and facilitating counselling for all business units.
- Reviews incident reports with the HR Senior Manager, recommends solutions aligned with company policies and practices, and provides guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations concerns
- Monitors and ensures timely performance evaluation processes for both regular and non-regular employees and facilitates preparation of performance evaluation documentation.
- Ensures compliance with labor standards and company policies, including Department of Labor and Employment regulations.
- Manages employee clearances and final pay processes, ensuring smooth offboarding procedures.
- Prepares and maintains attrition reports to support HR analytics and decision-making.
QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 13 years of experience in employee relations or HR generalist roles.
- Solid understanding of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion.
