What We Need
The HR Data & Reporting Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of HR data while building scalable reporting and dashboard solutions that support HR and business decision-making. This role will initially focus on strengthening data governance and establishing consistent reporting frameworks. As reporting maturity increases, the role will evolve into developing advanced BI dashboards and visualization tools that provide actionable workforce insights across performance, compensation, and talent outcomes.
The ideal candidate combines technical rigor, attention to detail, and strong business curiosity, with the capability to move from structured reporting to interactive data visualization and dashboard development.
Role Responsibilities
Phase 1: Data Integrity & Reporting Foundation
- Conduct regular audits of HR data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment across systems.
- Identify and correct discrepancies in employee, job, pay, and performance data.
- Partner with HRIS and IT to standardize reporting structures and automate recurring reports.
- Build and maintain recurring operational HR reports (headcount, turnover, compensation, performance, promotions, etc.).
- Document data definitions, reporting logic, and governance standards.
Phase 2: BI & Dashboard Development
- Design and develop interactive dashboards using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- Build data models that integrate performance, compensation, retention, and workforce metrics.
- Enhance reporting from static outputs to dynamic, insight-driven dashboards.
- Identify opportunities to automate reporting processes and reduce manual data handling.
Performance & Compensation Data Support
- Validate and audit data supporting annual performance and compensation review cycles.
- Partner with Compensation and HR teams to ensure data accuracy before executive reporting.
- Support ad hoc analysis to inform workforce and reward strategy discussions.
Process Improvement & Analytics Enablement
- Recommend enhancements to HR data workflows and system configurations.
- Support development of HR data governance standards.
- Contribute to building a scalable people analytics foundation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Information Systems, Business, Statistics, or related field.
- 6-8 years of experience in HR analytics, reporting, data audit, or workforce analytics.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, data validation).
- Experience working with HRIS systems (Workday, Dayforce, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Power BI.
- Strong data visualization and storytelling capability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building dashboards with Power BI that integrate multiple HR datasets.
- Exposure to compensation, performance analytics, and/or sensitive HR data.
- Experience supporting global HR environments.
- Familiarity with data modelling and automation concepts.
