The
HR Business Partner (HRBP) acts as a primary liaison between the business and the HR function. This role is responsible for driving organizational effectiveness, talent management, and a positive work environment for a specific client group, ensuring all people-related strategies and policies comply with the Philippine Labor Code and regulations from agencies like DOLE, SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG. The HRBP will coach managers, resolve complex employee relations issues, and implement strategic HR initiatives to achieve business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Business Partnership & Organizational Development Strategic Alignment: Partner with business leaders to understand their strategies and translate business needs into relevant HR action plans and people strategies. Organizational Design: Consult with management on organizational structure, workforce planning, and change management to optimize roles and processes for effectiveness.
Performance Enablement: Drive the performance management and talent review processes for the client group, ensuring alignment with corporate guidelines and local practice.
- Talent Management & Development Talent Acquisition Support: Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure effective local sourcing, interviewing, and selection strategies for key roles.
Learning & Development: Identify training needs and partner with Learning & Development to deploy relevant programs that build critical skills and support career growth. Succession Planning: Facilitate workforce planning and succession management discussions to build a strong pipeline of local talent.
- Employee Relations & Legal Compliance Compliance: Ensure all HR practices, policies, and procedures are in strict compliance with the Philippine Labor Code (P.D. 442), including guidelines on mandatory benefits (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG), service incentive leave, and 13th month pay. Discipline & Grievance: Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations while advising managers on progressive disciplinary action compliant with local regulations. Employee Advocacy: Act as a resource and advocate for employees, ensuring a fair and equitable application of company policies and promoting a positive, high-morale work environment.
- Compensation & Benefits Market Competitiveness: Advise on compensation and reward decisions, ensuring they are internally equitable and externally competitive within the local Philippine market. Benefits Administration: Work with the C&B team to communicate and administer local employee benefits, including HMO and statutory benefits.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field. Experience: 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist with significant client-facing responsibilities.
Legal Expertise: Mandatory thorough knowledge of the Philippine Labor Code and its implementing rules and regulations.
Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
