We are looking for a detail oriented and organized HomeCare Scheduler with at least one year of full time experience in scheduling within the US homecare industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating appointments, managing staff schedules, and ensuring efficient patient and caregiver coverage. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a solid understanding of healthcare operations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage daily schedules for healthcare staff, including nurses, caregivers, and therapists
- Communicate with patients, families, and staff to confirm appointments and resolve scheduling conflicts
- Ensure adequate coverage for all shifts and respond promptly to last minute changes or call offs
- Maintain accurate records in scheduling software and update calendars in real time
- Collaborate with HR and operations teams to align staffing with patient needs
- Monitor compliance with labor laws, internal policies, and healthcare regulations
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional and respectful demeanor at all times
Work Schedule -Monday to Friday 8 to 5 CST
Requirements
- Experience in HomeCare is mandatory
- Minimum of six months experience in a Home Care scheduling environment
- Candidates with strong healthcare scheduling experience that overlaps with homecare may also be considered
- Strong knowledge of US homecare systems, terminology, and staffing models
- Proficiency in scheduling software such as ClearCare, AlayaCare, HomeTrak, or similar platforms
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage a high volume of scheduling requests
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Preferred Skills
- Experience in home care, hospice, or long term care settings
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and healthcare compliance standards
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus
