Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Healthcare Controller to support a rapidly scaling healthcare platform operating in a multi-entity, roll-up environment. This is a hands-on, controller-level role designed for professionals who have managed complexity, consolidation, and growth at scale. The ideal candidate brings deep healthcare accounting experience, with a strong preference for Dental Service Organization (DSO) roll-up backgrounds.
This role is not entry-level and requires the ability to ramp quickly in a fast-paced, tech-enabled environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Oversight
- Own day-to-day accounting operations across a multi-entity healthcare platform
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Serve as the primary accounting partner to senior leadership and external stakeholders
Consolidations & Roll-Ups
- Manage entity-level and consolidated financial reporting
- Oversee accounting integration for new acquisitions and roll-ups
- Standardize accounting policies, procedures, and controls across entities
- Support post-acquisition accounting alignment and system integration
Healthcare-Specific Accounting
- Apply healthcare accounting principles across operating entities
- Manage revenue recognition, provider compensation structures, and cost allocations
- Partner with operations to support growth initiatives and scalability
Systems, Process & Controls
- Leverage modern accounting systems and tools to improve efficiency and visibility
- Design and enhance internal controls as the organization scales
- Identify process gaps and implement solutions in a high-growth environment
- Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, operations, and executive leadership
Required Experience & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Controller-level experience (Grace-caliber; proven senior ownership)
- Healthcare accounting experience required
- Extensive experience in multi-entity environments
- Hands-on experience with consolidations and roll-ups
- Ability to operate independently in complex, fast-moving organizations
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and problem-solving skills
- Highly tech-versed with the ability to ramp quickly on new systems
Strongly Preferred
- DSO (Dental Service Organization) roll-up experience top priority
- MSO (Management Services Organization) experience secondary preference
Bonus / Nice-to-Have
- Medical or pharmaceutical accounting exposure
- Experience with GLP-1 programs or medical weight-loss clinic models
- Exposure to PE-backed or investor-driven healthcare platforms
