Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Accounting Head to lead and oversee the organization's accounting operations within a hospital or healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial management, regulatory compliance, financial reporting, budgeting, and team leadership. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records while supporting strategic business decisions and maintaining compliance with applicable accounting standards and healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the daily operations of the Accounting Department.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), BIR, SEC, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the preparation and timely filing of tax returns and statutory reports.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies, internal controls, and financial procedures.
  • Manage the budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning processes.
  • Monitor hospital revenue, patient billing, collections, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial and compliance audits.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
  • Ensure accurate recording of hospital transactions, including insurance claims, healthcare receivables, and operational expenditures.
  • Mentor, train, and supervise the accounting team to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve financial processes and operational efficiency.
  • Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA license is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Must have experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation, accounting standards, and financial regulations.
  • Experience with hospital accounting systems and ERP software is an advantage.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
