Job Description

Your role

Are you a risk and control leader who thrives on partnership, influence, and impact

Do you enjoy working closely with the business to enable sustainable growth while maintaining strong regulatory standards

Do you bring sound judgment, intellectual curiosity, and the confidence to challenge constructively

We are looking for a Head of Compliance and Operational Risk (CORC) Philippines to lead CORC locally, acting as a trusted advisor to the business and country management while providing independent oversight of regulatory, conduct, and non financial risks.

In this role, you will be expected to anticipate risk, connect themes and signals, and engage proactively with the business, with senior stakeholders, and with regulators in line with established governance frameworks, including the IB Risk Radar.

You will:

  • Act as the senior country CORC officer for the Philippines, with accountability for the effectiveness of the local Compliance and Operational Risk (CORC) framework and regulatory outcomes.
  • Serve as the designated Regulatory Manager for the Philippines, with responsibility for overseeing regulatory engagement, regulatory reporting, and regulatory issue management.
  • Act as the local Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), with responsibility for oversight of anti money laundering and counter terrorist financing obligations, including escalation, reporting, and regulatory interaction as required.
  • Partner closely with business leadership, providing clear, timely, and well reasoned advice that supports business objectives while ensuring regulatory, conduct, and operational risks are appropriately identified, assessed, and managed.
  • Maintain strong, credible relationships with local regulators, leading regulatory engagement with professionalism, transparency, and consistency.
  • Identify, analyse, and connect risk indicators and issues, drawing on regulatory developments, business activity, incidents, and emerging themes to form a holistic view of compliance and conduct risk, including through alignment with the IB Risk Radar.
  • Exercise independent judgment and escalation, challenging where necessary and ensuring material risks, issues, and control weaknesses are escalated appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Lead incident, breach, and issue management, overseeing investigations, root cause analysis, remediation, and regulatory notifications in line with internal CORC frameworks and regulatory expectations.
  • Contribute to new business initiatives, transactions, and change programs, ensuring CORC risks are considered early and controls are designed to be effective, proportionate, and sustainable.
  • Promote a strong risk and conduct culture, encouraging openness, accountability, and effective escalation across the business.
  • Collaborate closely with regional and global CORC colleagues, sharing insights, themes, and best practices to support consistency and continuous improvement.
