Key Responsibilities
- Oversee GIS-based web applications, dashboards, spatial databases, analytics platforms, APIs, web services, and backend systems.
- Lead the planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of geospatial software applications.
- Review software architecture, source code, and technical documentation.
- Manage and optimize geospatial databases while ensuring data integrity, security, backup, and recovery.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Business Development, and technical teams for project requirements and implementation.
- Monitor development schedules, deliverables, and project completion.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate Geospatial IT Specialists and Software Developers.
- Conduct technical coaching, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing activities.
- Evaluate emerging GIS, cloud, AI, and web technologies and recommend solutions that support innovation and business requirements.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Geomatics Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in software development or geospatial application development.
- At least 2 years of experience in a technical leadership or supervisory role.
- Experience in GIS-based web application development and enterprise information systems is preferred.
