We are seeking a seasoned Operations Head to join our Global Market Operations team in Taguig City. This role is part of a leading European bank with a strong global footprint. You will oversee critical support services, back-office operations, and banking transaction processing related to equity investment and securities.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing exposure on bilateral trades and performing collateral trade booking. You will ensure that the Net Present Value (NPV) of portfolios is sufficiently collateralized on a daily basis and that all domestic security transactions match commitments within a secure setup.
Key Responsibilities
- Trade & Collateral Management: Manage exposure on bilateral trades, perform collateral bookings, and handle recall/return requests.
- Settlement Oversight: Ensure all trades (Bonds, Equities, SLAB, Repo, etc.) are instructed, matched, and settled timely in systems like Calypso.
- Risk Control: Monitor failing trades, reduce settlement costs, and take appropriate action on market risks (buy-ins).
- Reconciliation: Investigate and resolve Nostro and Depot reconciliation breaks to maintain accounting accuracy.
- Stakeholder Relations: Maintain close working relationships with traders, sales, and domestic agents/custodians to escalate and solve problems promptly.
Requirements
- Professional Experience: At least 10 years of experience in Collateral Management operations specifically for derivatives, security lending, and repo activity.
- Shift Availability: Ability to work a US Shift schedule (9:00 PM to 6:00 AM SGT).
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Financial Management, Accounting, or a relevant field (or a strong equivalent working history).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in handling complex securities and familiarity with settlement systems like Calypso.
- Soft Skills: Resilience in high-pressure environments, strong organizational skills, and strict diligence regarding compliance and regulatory policies
