We are seeking a seasoned Group Financial Controller to lead its finance function across Southeast Asia and Japan. This is a high-impact role for a senior finance leader with deep multi-country consolidation experience and a passion for driving strategic growth in dynamic, high-performance environments.
Your Role
- Lead end-to-end finance operations across SEA and Japan, ensuring compliance, accurate reporting, and robust corporate governance.
- Oversee multi-country consolidation, including preparation of group financial statements and month/quarter/year-end closing processes.
- Deliver strategic financial insights to support commercial decisions, business planning, and regional expansion.
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and risk mitigation across diverse markets.
- Ensure full compliance with SEA and Japan tax regimes, statutory requirements, and audit processes.
- Lead and develop a high-performing regional finance team of 20+, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Champion process standardization, ERP optimization, and digital finance transformation across the region.
What You Bring
- CPA-qualified with 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including 3+ years in a Group Financial Controller or senior finance leadership role.
- Demonstrated success managing multi-country finance teams across Southeast Asia and Japan.
- Proven expertise in group consolidation, tax, compliance, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate financial data into actionable strategy.
- Experience partnering with C-suite executives and contributing to regional business leadership.
- Fluency in English; additional SEA or Japanese language skills are a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and Excel.
