Job Description

The Government & Public Relations Officer is responsible for managing the company's engagement with government agencies, regulatory bodies, industry associations, and media stakeholders. The role supports policy compliance, advocacy initiatives, public positioning, and crisis communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor regulatory, legislative, and policy developments affecting the company.
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with government agencies, regulators, industry associations, and advocacy groups.
  • Coordinate company submissions for regulatory filings, compliance requirements, and policy consultations.
  • Develop advocacy strategies that align with the organizations interests and growth plans.
  • Support cross-border or multi-jurisdictional regulatory matters when relevant.
  • Prepare policy briefs, talking points, memos, compliance updates, and issue papers.
  • Handle public relations activities, media coordination, press statements, and external communications with public and our partners.
  • Lead crisis management communication and reputation-related interventions.
  • Track industry competitors regulatory and policy positioning.
