The role
The
Indirect Commodity Manager is a
strategic sourcing leader responsible for ensuring a continuous, cost-effective supply of
indirect goods and serviceslike
machinery (capital equipment/tools) and
IT (hardware, software, services)for the organization's global operations.
Your Responsibilities
This role
designs and implements sourcing strategies to support business efficiency, meet corporate cost targets, and manage global indirect spend. Key responsibilities include:
- Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation: Leading the sourcing and contract negotiation for major indirect categories, especially IT and capital equipment.
- Strategy & Analysis: Developing and executing global category strategies, conducting detailed spend analysis, and analyzing market trends to identify cost savings.
- Performance Management: Analyzing, executing, and overseeing supplier selection and overall performance, focusing on Quality, Delivery, and Cost metrics. This includes facilitating annual business reviews and supplier scorecards.
- Compliance & Alignment: Ensuring global spend compliance and partnering with internal stakeholders to align sourcing plans.
- Operational Support: Supporting the organization's global manufacturing factories, design, and service centers.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in strategic procurement or commodity management, preferably in industrial machinery or IT.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related fields
- Experience in supply chain management in an electronics manufacturing environment.
- Developing and deploying comprehensive category and commodity strategies.
- Collaborating with business leaders or other stakeholders to implement strategies and sourcing initiatives.
- Commodity Spend Analysis.
- Supplier Contract management.
- Supporting Procure to Pay process including PO issuance and supplier shipment.
- Experience in a very high growth rate electronic business is preferred.
