Role Overview
This is a rare opportunity for a hands-on, impact-driven talent leader who thrives in high-growth, fast-moving environments and wants to shape something meaningful from the ground up. You will be the architect and catalyst behind our talent acquisition strategy in APAC, our largest and most dynamic hiring region, while playing a pivotal role in building the foundations of a truly scalable, global TA function.
Partnering closely with the Chief People Officer, you will help define and deliver the talent acquisition strategy and roadmap, attracting exceptional talent across operational, commercial, and technology roles. At the same time, you will build the systems, processes, and ways of working that enable sustainable growth, consistency, and excellence as we scale globally.
This role offers the chance to move beyond delivery and leave a lasting legacy in how we hire, grow, and compete for talent worldwide.
What You Will Do
Strategic Leadership & Direction
- Own and evolve the global Talent Acquisition strategy, ensuring it is tightly aligned to business strategy, growth plans, and future capability needs
- Act as a strategic partner to the Chief People Officer and business leaders on workforce planning, hiring priorities, and long-term talent risks
- Translate business and growth plans into a clear TA roadmap, sequencing initiatives across regions, functions, and time horizons
- Design a scalable TA operating model that supports organic growth, M&A integration, and international expansion
- Build TA as a commercial, insight-led function that balances speed, quality, cost, and candidate experience
Operating Model, Governance & Infrastructure
- Define and embed consistent global hiring frameworks, policies, and governance, while allowing for local market nuance
- Own the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle and continuously improve efficiency, quality of hire, and time-to-fill
- Establish robust hiring governance including approval flows, role prioritisation, and capacity planning
- Own and optimise the ATS (Workable) and recruitment technology stack, ensuring strong data integrity and future integration with HRIS and people analytics platforms
- Build scalable processes that reduce dependency on agencies and create long-term internal hiring capability
Hiring Delivery & Business Partnership
- Lead critical, high-impact hires personally, where required
- Partner closely with senior leaders and hiring managers to deeply understand role requirements, success profiles, and future skill needs
- Act as a trusted advisor on hiring decisions, market availability, compensation expectations, and talent trade-offs
- Ensure a consistent, inclusive, and high-quality candidate experience across all markets and roles
- Embed structured assessment, interview training, and decision-making frameworks to raise hiring standards across the organisation
Data, Insight & Performance
- Define and track meaningful TA KPIs, including time-to-hire, quality of hire, source effectiveness, diversity metrics, and cost efficiency
- Use data and insight to challenge assumptions, improve outcomes, and inform leadership decision-making
- Produce clear, executive-level reporting that demonstrates the impact of talent acquisition on business performance
- Continuously review and refine TA strategy based on hiring outcomes, market shifts, and business priorities
Employer Brand & Talent Attraction
- Own and evolve the employer value proposition in partnership with People, Marketing, and Communications
- Design and execute scalable approaches to employer branding, talent communities, proactive sourcing, and referral strategies
- Ensure the organisation is positioned credibly and competitively in key talent markets, particularly for scarce and high-demand skills
- Embed diversity, equity, and inclusion into attraction strategies and hiring practices
Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing Talent Acquisition team as the business scales
- Set clear expectations, standards, and development pathways for recruiters and TA partners
- Coach and mentor TA team members to operate as trusted advisors, not just delivery resources
Stakeholder & Change Leadership
- Lead change across the organisation in how hiring is approached, governed, and delivered
- Influence senior stakeholders to adopt best-practice hiring behaviours and long-term talent thinking
- Play a key role in post-acquisition integration, ensuring newly acquired teams are aligned to global hiring standards and systems
- Represent Talent Acquisition as a core pillar of the People & Culture function and a critical enabler of business success
Requirements
- Proven track record of building and scaling global talent acquisition functions within high-growth technology scale-ups
- 7-10+ years hands-on expertise across the full talent acquisition lifecycle, hiring across multiple functions and geographies, with strong exposure to APAC markets and ideally global scope
- Demonstrated experience in designing and embedding global hiring infrastructure, frameworks, and best practices, with multi-country exposure essential
- Ability to operate confidently at both strategic and executional levels, equally comfortable shaping the vision and rolling up sleeves to deliver
- Strong working knowledge of ATS platforms (Workable preferred), sourcing tools, and data-driven recruitment metrics
- Highly effective stakeholder manager, experienced in partnering with senior leaders across regions, time zones, and cultures
- Agile, pragmatic, and solutions-oriented, with a genuine passion for building capability and creating impact from the ground up
Benefits
- A unique opportunity to shape the global talent function in a rapidly scaling global business
- Autonomy, influence, and exposure to the C-suite from day one
- A collaborative, fast-paced, and ambitious culture where your voice will have immediate impact
- Competitive salary and long-term growth opportunities
