This Position reports to:

Global Bid & Proposal Manager

Your role and responsibilities:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop Technical/Commercial Tenders for mainly Medium Voltage UPS (MVUPS) system globally, but not necessarily be limited to only MVUPS. This will require an in depth understanding of ABB's Critical Power product offering and potential solutions.
The work model for the role is: Hybrid, but the preferred living locations are in in APAC.
This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power division, Critical Power Product Group.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Manage tenders, risk reviews, and ensure proposals for MVUPS are timely, competitive, and profitable using ABB tools and databases.
  • Leading the design and development of MVUPS system solutions for data centers, semiconductor and/or other mission critical applications.
  • Implementing proactive promotional activities, including technical presentations, demonstrations, seminars, educational material, and technical development of projects and solutions for the customer target group.
  • Serving as a specialist in the application of advanced concepts and methods of MVUPS solutions engineering (knowledge of MV switchgear, protection relays selection) in terms of system level approach.
  • Interpret technical documentation to align with design intent and provide applications engineering support to customers and sales teams.
  • Collaborate across internal teams and vendor partners to develop executable proposals, negotiate effectively, and leverage ABB's full product portfolio.
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements and government contracting standards while proactively seeking training to enhance commercial operations capabilities.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience working in the electrical distribution industry, data center or semiconductor's experience is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience required, and previous project engineering, quotations, contract negotiation or technical sales experience preferred, and more than 5 years MV systems experience is required. In addition, UPS & Critical Power systems experience will be plus.
  • Deep knowledge of electrical power distribution/communication, UPS systems, system integration, switchgear, transformer and power system analysis.
  • Active personality and collaborative, solution-focused approach, with strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • You are at ease communicating in English with additional languages an advantage.
  • Flexibility in travelling within the specified area/country.
