Job Summary:
The General Manager will be responsible for leading and optimizing the company's cold chain logistics operations. This role involves developing and executing strategies to improve efficiency, streamline processes, and uphold the highest standards of product integrity. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of cold chain management, a proven history of success in leadership roles, and a strong commitment to ensuring the quality and safety of temperature-sensitive products throughout the supply chain. Job Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning
- Develop and execute strategic plans for cold chain logistics aligned with business goals.
- Provide visionary leadership to foster excellence, safety, and innovation.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee daily operations in transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations while optimizing efficiency and reducing costs.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build strong client and stakeholder relationships.
- Collaborate with sales and business development teams to drive growth opportunities.
Regulatory Compliance
- Maintain compliance with permits, certifications, and quality management standards.
Financial Management
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive workplace.
Technology Integration
- Evaluate and implement advanced technologies to improve tracking, monitoring, and reporting.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelors / Masters Degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration,
engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Managerial experience of at least 10 years AND proven experience (ideally 5+ years) in cold chain logistics, with a strong understanding of temperature-controlled storage, transportation, and distribution processes
- Demonstrated success in a leadership role within the logistics industry and with high integrity
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and quality management systems
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Strategic thinker with the ability to make sound decisions in a dynamic environment
- Meticulous and possesses good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Technology savvy and well versed with digital solutions (Microsoft Office Suite) and ERPs
