Job Summary
We are looking for a GL Accounting Supervisor to lead general accounting operations within a global shared services environment. This role will oversee financial reporting, month-end close, and general ledger activities while managing a team and driving process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the accuracy and integrity of general ledger activities (G/L postings, fixed assets, accruals, prepaids, intercompany transactions)
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes and ensure timely financial reporting
- Review and analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Handle audit requirements and support audit-related requests
- Drive continuous process improvements within the GL function
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on finance-related initiatives
- Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals
Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- 5–10 years of experience in accounting/finance, with strong exposure to general accounting
- At least 5 years of team leadership experience
- Experience in shared services or multinational environment is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting and GL processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, data analysis)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
