The Role
The General Insurance Associate provides reliable, detail-oriented support, helping manage documentation, records, renewals, and claims.
You are the kabaro of the senior account team with daily tasks, ensuring a smooth client experience while advisors focus on relationships and strategy.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and send FSGs, cover confirmations, and other compliance documents.
- Manage client emails and follow-ups, escalating when needed.
- Update and maintain client and policy records.
- Assist with renewal documents, schedules, and certificates of currency.
- Monitor outstanding premiums, endorsements, and policy changes.
- Manage shared mailboxes and ensure accurate digital filing.
- Support renewals by gathering terms and completing documentation.
- Track claim progress and follow up with insurers and clients.
- Maintain claim notes and documentation.
- Provide timely updates and escalate complex claims when required.
- Support diary and task management for senior team members.
- Track policy dates, reminders, and action items.
- Complete workflow tasks accurately and on time.
- Coordinate with internal team members and insurers for information and documentation.
- Help ensure a consistent, high-quality client experience.
What We're Looking For
- A degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field
- At least 2 years of office administration or operations experience
- Experience in a general insurance admin or support role
- Familiarity with general insurance products
- Basic to intermediate understanding of claims processes
- Hands-on experience on Insight Broking System and Insurance portals is a bonus
- Strong organisational skills (written and verbal)
- Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities
