Job Summary
The General Accounting Supervisor is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for the assigned operating unit. This role involves managing daily and monthly accounting tasks, supporting audit requirements, and preparing financial reports for management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily bank reconciliations to ensure accurate tracking of cash transactions
- Generate financial reports, prepare schedules and supporting documentation, and post journal entries using Oracle General Ledger
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
- Ensure compliance with Retail Operating Standards and support internal and external audits (including FCS and PWC)
- Identify and report issues that may affect team performance or financial reporting
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in general accounting
- Specialization in Finance General Accounting or equivalent
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Oracle GL and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred
