General Accounting Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities

The General Accounting Supervisor oversees the general ledger function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and timely completion of accounting processes. The role partners with management to provide financial insights, lead month-end and year-end closings, and drive continuous improvements that support the organization's financial performance.

Basic Function

• Supervise the general accounting team and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
• Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and budgets to support business decisions.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and risk assessments to improve financial performance.
• Drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and mentor the accounting team.

Qualification Guidelines

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a related field; CPA is preferred.
• At least 2–3 years of supervisory experience in general accounting or financial reporting.
• Strong background in financial reporting, general ledger management, and accounting standards.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
• Willing to work extended hours during month-end, year-end closings, and other critical reporting periods.
