General Accounting Manager - Shared Services

Qualifications:

1. Must be a Certified Public Accountant
2. Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in general accounting
3. Preferably with background in Real Estate industry
4. Willing to work on full on-site (MOA, Pasay)

JOB SUMMARY

Manages the General Accounting operations, including month-end closing, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.

Ensures timely, accurate, and compliant accounting processes that support property financial operations and audit readiness.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Oversees daily operations of general accounting teams to deliver accurate financial records and reporting.

2. Focuses on compliance with accounting standards, timely close cycles, and resolution of reconciling items.

3. Provides accounting analysis and insights for financial reporting and supports operational decision-making.

4. Leads general accounting leads, specialists, and associates, ensuring smooth execution of monthly and yearly accounting activities.

5. Manages teams responsible for journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, month-end close processes, and bank reconciliations.

6. Oversees month-end and year-end close, ensuring accurate recording of transactions and compliance with PFRS.

7. Reviews and approves journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.

8. Identifies and resolves long-outstanding reconciling items, ensuring minimal aging balances.

9. Leads process improvements and provides training and guidance to enhance team capability and efficiency.

10. Ensures adherence to PFRS, internal controls, financial reporting standards, and audit requirements.

11. Responsible for all general accounting activities, including balance sheet integrity, reconciliations, and close processes.

12. Does not directly handle tax filings, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or strategic financial planning.
