Job Summary
The General Accountant supports the Accounting Manager in ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining the integrity of accounting records. This role is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger functions, to provide timely and reliable financial information to management and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain proper accounting policies, principles, and procedures in compliance with company standards and local regulations.
- Monitor and reviewAccounts Receivable (AR)to ensure accurate recording, timely billing, and collection of revenues.
- OverseeAccounts Payable (AP)processes to ensure proper recording and timely payment of obligations.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual).
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial audits.
- Ensure compliance with tax requirements and government regulations.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate revenue and expense reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in courses related to Accounting, Financial Management, Business Management
- More than two (2) years in the Accounting function as Supervisor, preferably at least one (1) year or more in the Hotel Industry
- Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills
- High integrity and attention to detail
- Proficient in accounting systems and MS Excel.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work under pressure.
