Philippines | Night Shift: 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM PHT | Monday to Friday

Are you a licensed CPA with strong hands-on accounting experience and a sharp eye for accuracy We are looking for a General Accountant who can take real ownership of daily accounting operations, reconciliations, AP/AR, payroll-related entries, and month-end close activities — supporting a growing US-based Mediterranean restaurant and hospitality brand.

This is not a passive processing role. You will be expected to work independently, follow structured workflows, identify discrepancies before they become problems, and contribute to improving the accounting function as the team scales. YOU'RE LIKELY A STRONG FIT IF YOU HAVE

• Active CPA certification (strictly required)
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in general accounting, full-cycle bookkeeping, or accounting support roles
• Solid experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, and month-end close support
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas, pivot tables, and lookups
• Experience handling payroll-related accounting tasks, including entries, reports, and reconciliations
• Comfortable working the night shift (9:00 PM – 6:00 AM PHT), Monday to Friday

STRONG SIGNALS

• Prior experience supporting US-based clients or companies
• Background in restaurant, hospitality, food service, franchise, or multi-location business accounting
• Experience with Paychex or a similar payroll platform
• Experience with Harri or a similar timekeeping and workforce management system
• Exposure to sales reconciliation, deposit matching, or AR-heavy accounting environments
• Experience supporting weekly close cadences or fast-paced financial reporting timelines
• Familiarity with dashboarding, variance analysis, or budget tracking

RESPONSIBILITY PILLARS

Accounts Payable, Receivable, and Daily Transactions

You own the day-to-day accounting activity that keeps the books accurate and current.

• Process invoices, vendor payments, billing, and collections
• Post daily transactions and ensure accurate categorization of all financial activity
• Monitor sales and payment activity to ensure receivables are properly recorded and cleared
• Maintain aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances

Reconciliations and Month-End Close

You ensure accounts are clean, balanced, and closed on time — every cycle.

• Complete bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
• Support all month-end close activities, including review of account balances and financial schedules
• Maintain and review chart of accounts activity to ensure proper transaction classification

Reporting, Payroll Support, and Process Improvement

You support accurate financial reporting and contribute to a stronger accounting function over time.

• Assist with weekly and monthly financial reporting, including sales, labor, food costs, and expense tracking
• Support payroll-related accounting entries, payroll reviews, and reconciliation of payroll transactions
• Assist with corporate card tracking, receipt review, and expense coding
• Identify recurring discrepancies, process gaps, or inefficiencies and help recommend improvements
• Follow SOPs accurately and coordinate with internal stakeholders to meet accounting deadlines
