Job Description

The Lead Game Developer is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end development of eBingo and iGaming productsfrom conceptualization to release. This role manages a team of developers, ensures adherence to compliance standards, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, innovative, and high-performance gaming experiences.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Game Development Projects

  • Manage the full lifecycle of eBingo and iGaming game development from concept to launch.
  • Ensure all games meet high standards of quality, creativity, performance, and user experience.

2. Team Management

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of game developers.
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance team culture.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with designers, mathematicians, product managers, and artists.
  • Define, refine, and implement game mechanics, features, and visual direction.

4. Project Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop project plans and manage timelines.
  • Allocate resources to meet milestones and ensure timely delivery of game projects.

5. Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all games comply with industry regulatory standards and certifications.
  • Oversee RNG integrity, responsible gaming requirements, and jurisdictional compliance.

6. Code and Architecture Reviews

  • Oversee overall architecture and codebase for modularity, maintainability, and scalability.
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce coding best practices.

7. Mentorship & Developer Growth

  • Provide ongoing support and technical guidance to junior and mid-level developers.
  • Encourage continuous skill development and career growth within the team.

8. Optimization & Performance

  • Ensure games are optimized for multiple platforms.
  • Focus on smooth performance and minimal latency, especially for multiplayer or real-time games.

9. Innovation & Market Research

  • Stay updated with trends, technologies, and innovations in iGaming and eBingo.
  • Identify new features and enhancements to maintain competitive advantage.

Qualifications

Education & Technical Background

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field.
  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience using game engines such asUnity, Unreal, Godot, or Cocos.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such asC++, C#, JavaScript, and HTML5.

Experience

  • At least5+ yearsof professional game development experience.
  • Proven track record of deliveringiGaming or eBingo productsfrom concept to launch.
  • Previous experience withreal-money gamingand/or eBingo development.

Domain Knowledge

  • Understanding of game mechanics, RNG systems, game mathematics, and compliance standards (e.g., GLI, UKGC, MGA).
  • Familiarity with backend integration including payment systems and wallet APIs.
  • Knowledge of live gaming, multiplayer environments, and real-time gaming architecture.

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent project management abilities; familiarity with Git, GitHub, and similar tools.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and motivating development teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to technical challenges.
